4 sons from the Rock...

DFrost are a charismatic rock band based in the sunny town of Somerset West. Their sound is a unique blend of fast, quirky dirt-rock and catchy, melodious verse. With an edge. Think: The Arctic Monkeys meets Fallout Boy.

The band is a four-piece comprising Dax Frost on rhythm guitar and vocals, Richard Kuiper on lead guitar and vocals, Marc Frost manning the bass guitar and Nick Frost on drums and vocals.

Together they form a close-knit quartet; a super-tight team.
DFrost have been playing together for 2 years and running, before which, each member was involved with various music related projects.

Interests include blogging, IT, development, marketing, branding and all kinds of music from candy to classical.

Tea with Dennis

A close friend of ours, Dennis ‘The Demon’ Krige, asked us a while back if we would be interested in recording a song for his 2nd-year band-recording project at City Varsity, Cape Town.

Naturally we jumped at the opportunity to hear our own tasteless jokes being recorded and replayed back to us with studio-quality sound. Plus, it was a free recording, and everybody loves free shit.

And so, early this morning we left to City Varsity to record a test version of our latest song ‘I’ll Find You‘ with Dennis and his studio-partner Colin.

It was a comfortable and enjoyable day, enhanced by the tea-time ’snack’ of enough Scooter’s Pizzas to feed a small army; which, in essence, is what we are. Big up to Dennis and Colin!
